Frequently Asked Questions
Q. what will happen at my first treatment?
A. Your initial treatment will include a consultation and health questionnaire which will give me the opportunity to find out about your health and life style and what you are looking to achieve with reflexology. This will help me create a specific treatment plan tailored to meet your needs. First appointments always take a little longer. Total confidentiality is assured.
You will be made comfortable on a reclining therapy chair. It will only be necessary to remove your socks and shoes. I will start by cleansing your feet and during your treatment use a natural balm. Pressure will then be applied to your feet and lower legs using my fingers and thumbs. All treatments end with a foot massage.
During the treatment you should feel relaxed some people even fall asleep. Sensations can be felt for some throughout their body too. The treatment on the whole is relaxing but areas of imbalance may show up as tender spots but most find this a therapeutic sensitivity. I always work within my clients comfort zone.
After the treatment I would advise you to drink plenty of water to help cleanse your body further of toxins and lactic acid build up.
Q. How long do sessions last?
A. Your first session lasts around 1 hour 15 mins, as this include an initial assessment of around 20 minutes and a further 55 minutes treatment. Ongoing sessions last around 55 minutes.
Q. What does it cost per session?
A. First sessions are normally charged at £40 for 60 minutes. Discounted rates can be given if a block booking is made.
Q. What payment types do you accept?
A. Payment can be made by cash or card or bank transfer. Unfortunately we cannot accept cheques.

Q. Is there anything i need to do beforehand to prepare for a reflexology treatment?
A. Nothing needs doing beforehand, but reflexology releases lactic acid. Ensuring you are adequately hydrated will help flush this from your system so remember to drink plenty of water after a session.
Q. should anybody avoid reflexology?
A. Reflexology is a therapy which can be received by anyone at any age, from newborn babies to those receiving end of life care, and everyone in between. However, there may occasionally be times when it is not suitable to provide a treatment such as if you have a foot injury, if you are in the early stages of pregnancy (12 weeks), or if you suffer with blood clotting issues.
